Changes and Transitions

Hey Fellow Brothers how is everyone feeling admist all the changes???
Though theoretically speaking it might seems as just a movement of members and alignment of leadership.

Deep inside i feel pretty unsure admist all these changes. There are many what and whys in my heart.
What is the outcome of these changes in the long run?
Why do i have to be the one chosen?

As many whats and whys we might have in our hearts, i am pretty sure that a spirit of unrest is within us. We were moved out of our comfort zone, made to embark on platforms we never knew.
To some of us even leadership alignment had to be shifted.

Amongst all these changes, i realise we are all being called out of our original comfort zone. In the bible we have tons of examples. King made exiled, Commanders being made blind, common peasents called upon to lead the country.

All in all many examples can be cited from the bible but i would like to highlight Joseph (husband of mary), . Though he might just have a introductory role in the new testament, he had a great deal of transition which God had put him through.

The Birth of Jesus Christ
18This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus," because he will save his people from their sins."

22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us."

24When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Here is what Joseph had to go through pulling him from his daily comforts:

  1. Leaving his business (Carpentry)
  2. Exile out of his town (Nazareth)
  3. Wife pregnant thru holy spirit (Jesus)
He shut down his businesses, made his family packed and leave. He did all these all in obedience towards God.

Bear in mind Joseph career before he was called upon by the angel of God. He was a carpenter. A carpenter some one who is very plan oriented, he plans and measures before every cut, visualise and picture before every chisel. Now, he was called upon by God. A mysterious pregnancy, a sudden exile lastly having to tend to his wife delivery of Jesus.

A person whose life have been governed by plans yet he had to live in a life of speculation and uncertainty. A carpenter made a nomad even made to tend to his wife delivery. His plans and comfort of his life was totally disrupted being challenged by what is unseen. We may debate that his sighting of Angel was an added conviction to what God has called upon.

But at the end of the day obedience was the key! If Joseph chose to divorce Mary, failed to exile from Nazareth and even failed to bring up Jesus all things might have been different. So to all my brothers let's rise up to God's challenge by challenging the uncharted waters out of our comfort zones!!

yes brother!!

I believe Joseph was taking the step of FAITH!!

what hits on our daily faith for God is all the logics and plannings we THINK is best for us..

But just as our God is supernatural, OUR WALK MUST BE SUPERNATURAL TOO!! jiayou!!

Move in FAITH and GROW!! =)
