Run, Fat Boy, Run!

Watched this movie with Jasper and Frans yesterday. We had totally no idea of what this movie is about, neither did we have any expectations. We thought this show was a goner because 5 minutes before the show started, three of us were the ONLY people in the cinema!

Quite a good movie with some learning point behind. Would recommend you guys to watch. However, do filter out some of the crude jokes. Speaks alot about life and one of my life principle which I always live by: Don't just talk the walk, but walk the talk!

Grab a few friends or brothers and catch this show quick! :)

Every Man has a Journey

Dear sons, thank you so much for praying for Ahpa while I was away on my retreat the past few days. Indeed it has been a great restful trip for me. Some of the highlights of this trip includes:

1. Good physical rest - sleep full 8-9 hours daily, waking up at 9-10am daily.

2. Eat, eat, eat - from the authentic Ramly burger to DragonFruit

3. DVDs & Movies - Watched some really inspiring movies and also the latest Jet Li-Jackie Chan movie "The Forbidden Kingdom" (at only 9 Ringgit!)

4. Impartation - catching up with my life mentors, Pastor Victor & Kelly, about 3Gs - God, G12 and Girls

One of the things that God brought to my mind through this trip was that "Every Man has a Journey" in their Christian walk and how lives are changed as we encounter God in this journey. The end result of the journey is important, however, it is through the journey where we encounter God, build relationships and grow to be more matured in the Lord!

Every great Bible hero went through a journey where their faith grew in the Lord - Abraham (Genesis 12 - 21), Joseph (Genesis 37 - 50), Moses (Exodus 3 - 14), David (1 Samuel - 2 Samuel), Daniel (Book of Daniel).... and many many more. Some of these journeys spanned an entire life for them even!

I came back from this retreat inspired to go along on a journey - For myself as a leader to encounter the Lord, let Him change me and for me to grow in Him. A journey that I hope to embark on with everyone of you guys - so that you too will grow in this journey.

Let this exciting journey begin! :)

My Life Story

I've lived a normal life for the past 16 years of my life. I have a normal childhood. No traumatic experiences whatsoever.

The only Exciting thing that happen to me during my primary school days was that I fractured my right leg while playing on the monkey bar.

It's only until the 10th of April 2004 that my ordinary life changed for the Better and the Extra-ordinary. Why? Because Jesus came into my life.

....

... I've fought the good fight, I've finished the race!
And I'll be living Happily Ever After!!!
The Begining (not The End)

Hey, I don't know what does life have installed for me. But one thing I'm very sure of, is that the ending of it has already been known to me... What about you??

Prayer Request from Alvin

Hi family, guess this what the blog is set up for at the beginning.. to share and seek help and strength from the family.. I am personally very encourage and even inspired by the posting here as some of us share their inner thoughts and feelings.. Thanks to be God for He brings us to different level of growth in life to know Him more and better handle our lives..

I have some prayer request! Listed below:

- I have been coughing for 1 week plus! and hasn't recover.. feeling very difficult especially at night! please pray for my health

-Pray for open doors in TPE! Nelson, Yong Kiat, Shan Ren, Li Cheng, Zheng Quan, Yen, Jackson, Weijie and many more.. let's pray that even as God bring the people to us, it's really important that we respond to His call.. Let's really put in effort to engage them and not be too caught up in just gaming and having our own fun.. retain the fruits is the KEY!

-I have been engaging well with Nelson(vic's fren), let's pray that i can really get to know him deeper and build a lasting relationship.. he's really one of those i believe God has sent us to bless us.. Look at the number of people he brought in.. in fact he is even more active than anyone of us! There must be something special God wants to speak through him.. going to ask him out for some special date..

-Pray for Nelson(gary's fren) to receive Christ.. a very cute guy that ask me questions about God.. even ask me if he can come church bcoz Gary is not a regular attendant.. He even ask me if Church gives bible.. Believe God is speaking to him.. i am going to buy a bible for Him and plan some reading plan to help him and hopefully he reads.. Rember that parable that Jesus talks about seeds being at different grounds.. some on the road and the bird(devil) comes and take it away.. so let's pray that he can have a encounter with God!

-Yes! many are really very CONCERN about my "green light" to find a gf.. and i know that this really needs prayer.. i really appreciate and very thankful that SO MANY caring for me.. Trust me, i am deeply blessed.. so instead of asking whether have i consider or how i think of this girl or that, may be pray for me to be able to pick the right girl or let God revail the girl to me will be better la.. hehe..

Thanks Family.. I believe God nv wants us to grow in isolation and be rambos! that's why God created cell so that we can grow from strength to strength together! learning from one another and encourage those who need help at times.. Jiayou brothers! Blessed to have u! Let's continue to serve Jesus 5 years 10 years 20 years down the road! =)

...so great is his Love... so Great is his Everlasting Love

hihhihihi haha last night I had my first DOTA fellowship with Jun Jie and Jasper without seeing them face to face hahah see.... Look at the power of internet!!!! Technology is killing us!!!!
I just woke up not too long ago heehee and just finished reading Psalms 103 =) err correct right?? today is Psalm 103 ?? anyways I thought I blogged some of the stuffed which I felt convicted as I spend time asking the Goot LORD =)

Here we gooooo....
"Praise the LORD O my soul; all my inmost being praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul and forget not all his benefits whos forgives all your sins and heals all your dieseases.... " Psalm 103:1 to 3

It is sooo easy to complain about life but this gives us so much to praise God.

sometimes I feel that the Christian life is just all about praising God. Afterall we were engineered to praise God =) When we praise God then our faith starts to grow and flow like nobody's business and that gives us the drive to do stuff like total World Evangelism =)

But on the other hand, if we just complain about life, then this huge cork is being rammed through God's spiritual Tap.

LIFE SUCKS!!! there no doubt about it!!! but God is GOOT =) for every 1 reaseon we can ever complain about life, God gives us 10 reasons to Praise him =)

God has....

-forgived our sins
-healed our dieseases
-reedeemed us from death
-crown us with love and compassion
-satisfied our desires
-bestowed upon us righteousness and justice

well I believe thats alot things to praise God for everyday =) these things may not be immediate, but its ultimate =)

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed the transgressions from us" verse 12

The East and West can never meet. That just shows God infinite forgiveness he has for us =) Its simply mind boggling if you just try to imagine the scale =) take some time to think how many times you ve lost your tongue for telling lies ... I ll probably have had my tongue cut off a million times if not for God's forgiveness =)

When he forgives our sin, he seperates it from us and chooses to forget it too =) we often bring up the ugly past but God has deleted every sin =) We MUST model his forgiveness and learn to forget the sin too =)

I think it's super difficult to do but I m sure its difficult for God too and if he did it, why can't we too =) Besides, we are made in God image =) God knows the struggle and pains we go through=)

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him" verse 13

which is why he is full of compassion for us =) God takes our human condition into account when he examines our lives =) but then again, our weakness should never be used as a justification for sin. Trust him for he is really in control =)
A very blessed hello from Franzzzz

Updates from Ahpa

Dear son, thank you so much for the encouraging SMSes these past two days as I was down with viral fever. Temperature keeps fluctuating up and down. Even as I typing this post now, I can feel the fever rising up in me.

Do keep Ahpa in prayer as I got a hectic schedule coming up the next two days:

1. Saturday morning: Conducting a workshop 100 parents

2. Rest of Saturday: Attending a Worship Conference together with YNET celebration team

3. Sunday morning: Teaching SOL2

Thanks son. Resting at home these past two day and not doing anything has been a dread for Ahpa, espacially for a body-kinestatic person like me. But as I rested, God is also showing me the importance of being still before Him and spending that unhurried rest in Him.

Sons, we don't need to wait until we fall sick and are forced to rest, then we spend that restful time with the Lord. Want to encourage us to remember to make every effort in spending that quality time with the Lord.

Be still and know that He is God.

New Initiative of the Lord ~ Vasilli Alexandrovich Zaitsev

Grace and Peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Learn from the openings of the letters of Paul in Romans, Galatians, Corinthians, etc ahahx ;D)

Ok guys... I noe its long since my last post... Nth much spiritual things to update for the past weeks...

This week... there's a new initiative that i took for this week.... Trying it out... Since i always run the risk of being late for college, i decided to learn from Jesus, wake up early to go to college to do my QT. Its very tough... waking up every morning at 0530, meeting Jesus in an empty classroom at 0700 sharp to do a solid 30 mins QT, then go for college assembly

The Word says in Joshua 1 "Meditate on the Word day and night, so that you may be careful to everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful." Since I have to meditate on it day and night, and i do 30mins of QT in college as the first thing of everyday, i do another 30 mins at night from 2330 to 0000hrs to mark the end of the day. So... I have a solid 1hr QT with the LORD!!!

This is the 3rd day of my new initiative, and i find it rather easy and very successful (thank God for it), i invited 1 classmate of mine to join me in this initative. He agreed, and from today onwards, there will be 2 person in an empty classroom every monring at 0700hrs to do QT with the LORD!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!

PS: Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain - Psalms 127. Therefore, unless the Lord establish the works of my hands (Psalm 90:17), unless the Lord's hand is with me (1 Chronicles 4:10 - Jabez Prayer), and unless I meditiate on the Word day and night (Joshua 1 + Psalms 1), or i will never be successful everywhere i go.... AMEN!

Are you Broken?

Broken and contride spirit is the gateway to the pressence of God. It was mentioned God will not even appreciate a flawless performance for our hearts are not right. We need to understand that brokenness is not about condemnation, guilt nor shame because Jesus came down to set us away from these.

well, brokenness actually is a deep sense of desperation on...

The condition of our heart, that whenever we look at ourselves, we know we are so small, unworthy and unable to do what God wants to do. KNOW GOD IS GOD.

A desperation for cleansing of God! Knowing that we always need the cleansing of Jesus Christ in our daily life for we are never perfect. Due to the times when the sinful thoughts, behaviour and character of us are just so not right in His eyes. We must really BE REPENTFUL AND APPRECIATE THE WORK ON THE CROSS.

A broken spirit to be in us so we understand how wicked we can be. Thus, we need to come to the cross daily to ASK FOR A NEW CREATION, putting away the old self and putting the new self that God can created in us.

Family, don't you feel sick and tired of falling into the unpleasing patterns? Howcome our lives doesn't have much changes? Are we becoming sunday Christians? Let's really take our walk seriously with God, for He really wants to bless us.. Let's remind ourselves daily to be broken and desperate to understand the condition of our heart, ask for cleansing and a new creation from God!

Jiayou Jiayou..

Bros, i am blogging this not because i am somebody, but i realise the importance of God's presence in our daily lives. i have my pitfalls too. mine is over the area of Lust, Greed and Pride. i am not perfect too but why i am able to share is because i have walked through so many encounter with God's ultimate grace upon me. i have many breakthrough and i really Thank God for His work in me. i really hope we all can be truthful and transparent as this really can spur one another on to walk stronger and closer with God..

God bless Ya! let us decrease and God increase in our daily life! Be the Light of the world! Amen.. =)

Are we leaking?

I believe my water bill this month will be quite high, because the tap in my room's toilet is leaking. Super irritating, especially in the middle of the night, when everything is peaceful and quiet, when the slightest drip of the water droplet into the basin sounds like it's being projected through a fully blasted speaker. Kind of remind me of the horror movie dark waters.

Then I started to ask myself, "Are we like this faulty tap? Are we constantly leaking away spiritually?

Every sunday, we leave the Yellow Doors of Expo totally recharged! Spiritually full tank i called it. But as monday comes to an end, tuesdays pass by, scraped through boring wednesday, are our spiritual Fuel tank still max? or like the tap? we leak away?

Sad to say, we will certainly leak away spiritually. Due to pressure from out teachers, school work and the other hustle and bustle of our everyday life. But the Good news is that we can return daily to our Spiritual Petrol Kiosk. Return back to the presence of God to be recharged!!

The Bible in John 7:37-38 says: "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."

So bros, let's make every effort to come back to the presences of God everyday to drink of Him!! so we can be healed. The Lord not only wants to heal our physically infirmities, But He want to heal us back to our tip top spiritual conditions.

Jasper Bro

P.S
listen to the 2 songs ya. meditate on the words of the songs. :D
